Gemma nella mini-serie “Tess dei D’Urberville” del 2008<\/p><\/div>\n

Tutto \u00e8 iniziato tredici anni fa con Quantum of Solace<\/strong>. Avevo adorato Casino Royale<\/strong> e appena usc\u00ec nel 2008 questo secondo capitolo di 007 con Daniel Craig<\/strong> mi fiondai subito a vederlo. Il film non mi colp\u00ec particolarmente a eccezione di una ragazza praticamente sconosciuta che interpretava l’agente Strawberry Fields, Gemma Arterton<\/strong>. Appena mise piede in scena rimasi catturato<\/strong> dal suo carisma<\/strong>, un’attrice che sembrava venire da un’altra epoca: spiritosa<\/strong>, grintosa<\/strong>, sensuale<\/strong>, elegantissima<\/strong>. Una vera delusione quando la vidi morire dopo cinque minuti. Che spreco di talento, che peccato!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nel corso degli anni l’ho trovata con grande piacere in RocknRolla<\/strong> e I Love Radio Rock<\/strong> ed era incredibile come lasciasse la sua impronta anche in ruoli cos\u00ec piccoli, caratteristica da grande attrice. Chiara la provenienza teatrale dove viene insegnato che Non esistono piccoli ruoli<\/strong>,\u00a0esistono piccoli attori<\/strong><\/em>. Fantastico il lavoro sul personaggio, un’artista che ha sempre tirato fuori il meglio dal personaggio anche se non offriva molto corpo a livello di script.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Questa passione si \u00e8 consolidata ancora di pi\u00f9 nel Maggio 2010 quando andai a vedere, nel giorno del mio compleanno, Prince of Persia<\/strong> e rimasi ancora pi\u00f9 conquistato dal suo talento, finalmente in ruolo da protagonista femminile. Una bellezza sconvolgente, ma prima di tutto un talento sconfinato<\/strong> completamente a suo agio nella commedia, nel dramma e nell’azione. In un periodo dove a Hollywood si vedevano attrici che portavano principalmente bellezza e poi talento – se fosse – lei faceva l’opposto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tutto questo amore nei suoi confronti \u00e8 stato consacrato nel meraviglioso Tamara Drewe<\/strong>, una delle mie commedie preferite, una di quelle che posso definire tranquillamente capolavoro, una di quelle che so praticamente a memoria in cui rido e mi emoziono ogni volta come la prima volta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Esattamente il giorno dopo in cui vidi Hansel & Gretel – Cacciatori di Streghe<\/strong> al cinema. In pieno boom di creazione di fanpage su Facebook dedicata ad attrici e attori, decisi di aprire Gemma Arterton Italia<\/strong> per celebrare questo immenso talento che mi catturava ogni volta, indipendentemente dal genere. Dalla creazione della pagina questa passione \u00e8 andata a crescere, ancora di pi\u00f9, ed ero sicuro che avrebbe preso la sua strada pi\u00f9 congeniale scegliendo ruoli che risaltassero il suo talento e che non andassero contro la sua onest\u00e0 intellettuale e artistica. E’ stata una delle prime a parlare, coraggiosamente, dello sporco di Hollywood, di femminismo scegliendo il cinema indipendente e il teatro ai blockbuster. Da eterno sostenitore dei diritti e da artista sono contentissimo che abbia scelto, in seguito, tutti progetti coraggiosi<\/strong> e vari regalando gigantesche performance<\/strong> anche sui palcoscenici londinesi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chi l’avrebbe mai detto, aprendo Gemma Arterton Italia<\/strong>, che l’anno dopo avrei incontrato Gemma a Londra? Nell’autunno 2014 andai a vedere Made in Dagenham – The Musical<\/strong>. Sotto consiglio di un’amica le feci trovare in camerino un mazzo di fiori con una lettera che parlava di me, della mia passione per lei e di Gemma Arterton Italia<\/em>. Poi inizi\u00f2 lo spettacolo: la prima mezz’ora rimasi con gli occhi sbarrati, incredulo di assistere alla performance della mia attrice preferita dal vivo, colpito positivamente dal suo talento vocale (sono un cantante lirico, quindi tendo a iper analizzare ogni volte che ascolto). Non voglio risultare prolisso quindi leggete qui il racconto completo dell’incontro<\/a>. Pazzesco vederla, a un passo da me, alla stage door e poterla salutare, facendomi una foto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nel 2016 andai a vedere Nell Gwynn<\/strong>. Una serata piovosa e la paura che Gemma non si fermasse alla stage door, che ansia! Anche questa volta le feci recapitare i fiori con la lettera – fare tutto questo in mezzo al diluvio fu tra il tragico e il comico – e lo spettacolo fu magnifico.<\/strong> Vedere Gemma entrare dalla platea \u00e8 stata una sorpresa e ci regal\u00f2 una performance magnifica, giustamente candidata agli Olivier Awards<\/strong> ovvero gli Oscar del teatro inglese.<\/p>\n

Poco da dire, poco da fare: il palcoscenico \u00e8 la sua casa prediletta e come si esprime l\u00ec sopra non succede altrove.<\/strong> Ciliegina sulla torta \u00e8 stato l’incontro alla stage door quando usc\u00ec con i miei fiori e mi riconobbe all’istante. Parlammo qualche minuto, la penna si bagn\u00f2 e non si scriveva bene, ma lei si incapon\u00ec fino a quando non riusc\u00ec a farmi per bene l’autografo nel libro di sala dello spettacolo. Che non ci facciamo mancare un’altra foto?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il terzo incontro, che ho raccontato fino allo sfinimento – pi\u00f9 che altro per chi legge – \u00e8 avvenuto a Gennaio 2017 con lo spettacolare Saint Joan<\/strong>. Ho sempre amato il personaggio di Giovanna D’Arco e vedere Gemma interpretarla in un testo famosissimo per la sua difficolt\u00e0 \u00e8 stata un’emozione che non si pu\u00f2 spiegare. Ho pianto a dirotto in pi\u00f9 volte e facevo fatica a smettere al punto che quando usc\u00ec dal teatro stavo ancora con i lacrimoni. L\u00ec la serata si complet\u00f2 nel migliore di modi parlando per diversi minuti come amici e colleghi. Non mi dilungo, quindi andate qui per leggere i dettagli.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gemma Arterton<\/strong> prima di essere una grande attrice, \u00e8 una persona meravigliosa. Un mio punto di riferimento come artista ed essere umano. Incredibile, poi, che scelga sempre progetti che mi interessano molto e che tratti sempre tematiche che mi stanno a cuore come la violenza domestica in <\/span>Safer at Home<\/strong><\/a> e le ingiustizie subite da una ragazzina Down nei secoli passati nel prossimo corto The Cunning<\/strong><\/a> (contentissimo di aver contribuito alla raccolta fondi). Interpreter\u00e0 anche la mia cantante preferita Dusty Springfield<\/strong> (ho tutta la sua discografia) ed \u00e8 nel nuovo film di Kingsman<\/strong>, il mio franchise preferito.<\/p>\n

Una donna che ha rischiato scegliendo la strada pi\u00f9 difficile, ma che \u00e8 riuscita a realizzarsi alla grande diventando un’artista molto amata e stimata in patria, e non solo. Augurandole tutto il bene in questo Mondo, non mi resta che ringraziare Gemma per la sua arte augurandole un bellissimo compleanno!<\/strong><\/p>\n

It all started thirteen years ago with Quantum of Solace<\/strong>. I had loved Casino Royale<\/strong> and as soon as this second chapter of 007 with Daniel Craig<\/strong> came out in 2008 I immediately jumped in to see it. The film didn’t particularly impress me except for a virtually unknown girl who played agent Strawberry Fields, Gemma Arterton<\/strong>. As soon as she set foot on stage I was captivated by her charisma, an actress who seemed to come from another era: witty<\/strong>, spirited<\/strong>, sensual<\/strong>, very elegant<\/strong>. A real disappointment when I saw her die after five minutes. What a waste of talent, what a pity!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the years I have found her with great pleasure in RocknRolla<\/strong> and The Boat That Rocked<\/strong> and it was amazing how she left her mark even in such small roles, the characteristic of a great actress<\/strong>. The theatrical provenance is clear where it is taught that there are no small roles, there are small actors<\/strong><\/em>. Fantastic work on the character, an artist who always brought out the best in the character even if she wasn\u2019t offered much at script level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This passion was consolidated even more in May 2010 when I went to see, on my birthday, Prince of Persia<\/strong> and I was even more conquered by her talent, finally in the role of female main star. A shocking beauty, but first of all a boundless talent<\/strong> completely at ease in comedy, drama and action. At a time when in Hollywood you could see actresses who brought mainly beauty and then talent – if so – she did the opposite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In full boom in creating fan pages on Facebook dedicated to actresses and actors, I decided to open Gemma Arterton Italia<\/strong> to celebrate this immense talent that captured me every time, regardless of kind of movies. Since the creation of the page this passion has grown, even more, and I was sure that she would have taken the most congenial path of her by choosing roles that would highlight her talent and that her intellectual and artistic honesty did not go against her<\/strong>. She was one of the first to speak, bravely, of Hollywood’s filth, of feminism, choosing independent cinema and theater rather than blockbusters. As an eternal supporter of rights and as an artist, I am delighted that she has subsequently chosen all courageous and varied projects, giving gigantic performances<\/strong> even on the London stages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who would have thought, opening Gemma Arterton Italia<\/strong>, that I would meet Gemma in London the following year? In the fall of 2014 I went to see Made in Dagenham – The Musical<\/strong>. On the advice of a friend, I had her find a bouquet of flowers in the dressing room with a letter that spoke of me, my passion for her and Gemma Arterton Italia<\/em>. Then the show began: the first half hour I was staring, incredulous to see the performance of my favorite actress live, positively impressed by her vocal talent (I’m an opera singer, so I tend to over analyze every time I listen to a voice) . In 2016 I went to see Nell Gwynn<\/strong>. A rainy evening and the fear that Gemma would not stop at the stage door, what anxiety! Once again I had the flowers delivered to her with the letter – doing all this in the midst of the flood was between the tragic and the comic – and the spectacle was magnificent<\/strong>. Seeing Gemma enter the audience was a surprise and she gave us a magnificent performance<\/strong>, rightly nominated for the Olivier Awards.<\/p>\n

Little to say, little to do: the stage is her favorite home and how it is expressed up there does not happen elsewhere.<\/strong> The icing on the cake was the meeting at the stage door when she went out with my flowers and she recognized me instantly. Gemma Arterton<\/strong> before being a great actress, she is a wonderful person. My point of reference as an artist and human being.
